What to Bring

A stack of business cards (~30) to hand out to people you connect with on the day. Be ready to tell us about you with a ~15 second infomercial (elevator pitch) based on who you are, what you do and if there is a paticular type of business your’re trying to connect with.

We have a rapidly growing group of like minded business professionals in decision making roles that meet weeky. Our Members are from SBM and SME businesses and range from providing B2B and B2C products and services.

This is a breakfast and networking opportunity for the members and visitors of our group who meet weekly and pass referrals accross many industries to assist in the growth of all.

Business should be FUN as you grow, just imagin turning up to a group of like minded people who want your business to succeed and know how to laugh along the way. People are attracted to positivity and laughter which can generate great business relationships and new customers.

THIS WEEK IS FUN AND EXCETIONAL and very different to our usual week. We have a comical skit where not only our members but YOU will help in helping Messed up Muray who is a very sucessful person both professionally and in life, however he wants to retire. This is a showcase in how business networking can have an impact and how YOU can be part of our fun and passionate group of business owners.

When you arrive, there will be a list of à la carte breakfast options and your choice of coffee or chai latte. If you are filling in on behalf of a member who was unable to attend, as they have paid in advance, use their name when ordering breakfast as a thank you from them.

You’ll be greeted, provided info on all our members, and your name tag (we all have them). Either someone from our group or I will introduce you to people we think you’ll benefit from meeting as the coffee comes out.

We then sit for breakfast as Paul Kingston, our President gives an intro, where you’ll be welcomed to the group. You’ll have around 20 seconds to introduce yourself with name, business and what you do. eg.

“Thanks for inviting me along today, I’m Bob Smith from Smith Electrical, focused in Domestic and Commercial Electrical work. I’m looking to connect with ”

Our Vice President Tim Ash will introduce our Membership committee and other important information throughout the morning.

Members will introduce themselves with each member giving a ~60 seconds intro to let you know who they are before we pass business cards around the room for anyone you wish to connect with after the meeeting.

Each week a different member of our group will do a 10-minute presentation on their business or instead we have a scheduled group Q&A Panel Presentation showing how multiple business work together and what areas of business they seek outside our group, which opens opportunity for others to join our group.

On occasion we run meetings with VVIP speakers which replace this section and sometimes other parts of the meeting. We also run “Stack Day’s” where members will run a entertaining skit around how businesses in the room (and possibly include visitors) can help to resolve business challenges.

After breakfast, you will be provided some further information about our BNI group. There is never pressure to join or to do business with anyone, it’s more about growing everyone’s network for good and reliable businesses. From my personal experience, everyone enjoys catching up, having a laugh, exchanging stories. The opportunities of business naturally flow between our members and guests because of the relationships we form.

You don’t know what you don’t know, and the most powerful shift can be when you know what you don’t know. Similar when one person you didn’t know can change your business.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me before, on or after the day. I hope you enjoy your time with us.
